Sarah Cotterell is a multidisciplinary British artist and designer who lives and works in London. Her artistic practice explores questions of origin and how abstraction, form, and material reconnect us to embodied ways of knowing. Inspired by material presence, sacred spaces, ancient and vernacular architecture and surrealism, she employs instinctive gesture, allowing sensation, memory, and emotion to emerge through touch, surface, and form. Investigating rhythm, movement – she offers a particular freedom to inhabit presence and resonance.
