Sarah Cotterell is a London-based artist whose practice explores ideas of origin through material, form, and spatial perception.
Her work considers how surface, texture, and composition construct presence, and how material and image hold memory and embodied experience. Drawing on spatial production, vernacular architecture, and archaeological environments, her practice engages with built and natural structures as carriers of human experience over time.
Through sculptural works and material-based painting, she explores visual and physical languages of perception, creating tactile engagements with space.
