Sarah Cotterell is a London-based artist whose practice spans sculpture and painting, exploring ideas of origin through material, form, and spatial perception.
Her work investigates how surface, texture, and composition construct a sense of presence, exploring how image and material can hold memory and embodied experience.
Drawing on spatial production, vernacular architecture, and archaeological environments, her practice considers how built and natural structures communicate human experience over time. Through sculptural and painted works, she explores how visual and material languages shape perception, inviting a tactile and attentive engagement with space.
